The "Gundam Mk-III" also refers to three separate machines created by the AEUG, the Earth Federation Forces, and Titans.

After the AEUG successfully stole the RX-178 Gundam Mk-II from the Titans, two of the stolen units were sent to Anaheim Electronics to study, reverse engineer and duplicate their technology. There a group of technical experts created the Gundam Mk-III, which featured an improved version of the movable frame used on the Mk-II. Gundam MK-III also has a pair of wing binders which mounts several thrusters to increase speed and mobility. Overly serious and methodical, with a somewhat meddlesome personality, Lennartz even nags at the senior aces" personal lifestyle, and how they have to hold up their image as air infantry and be a role model for the entire military. Of course, she gets brushed off immediately afterwards, but she is adored by her fellow squadron members as a sort of squadron mascot, especially with the expression she puts on after being ignored.

Lennartz"s kill count does not particularly stand out within the Karlslander Air Force, but nearly 70% of her victories were made in a jet Striker, and a large number of those victories were against large-scale Neuroi bombers. This unit is piloted by Setsuna F. Seiei. It first appears in Mobile Suit Gundam 00V: Battlefield Record.

Other then the heavy damage sustained by 00 Gundam during its battle against CB-0000G/C Reborns Gundam, both of its GN Drives were also destroyed during the battle between Gundam Exia Repair II and 0 Gundam Type A.C.D.. As a result of the latter, the Twin Drive System is inoperable. However, with Gundams still needed in service, Celestial Being engineers restored 00 Gundam and began experimentation with new technologies.

The development team would revisit the GN-0000/7S 00 Gundam Seven Sword and remade it as 00 Gundam Seven Sword/G. While superficially identical, the unit is different in a few ways. Amongst the modifications, Celestial Being engineers replaced the destroyed drive with a large GN Condenser, and added the GN Sword II Blaster to field test. This new weapon also transforms the suit from a close combat suit to a high perfomance general purpose unit. With the 0 Raiser under repairs, Celestial Being engineers upgraded the GN Buster Sword to carry the Twin Drive stabilization equipment to test if it can help in other types of power plant setup. Due to the presence of the GN Buster Sword II, the suit is still capable of utilizing the GN Field.

The tests revealed a lot of weaknesses within the system. Without the Twin Drive System, Trans-Am was impossible on a GN Drive-Large Condenser combo setup and would work for only 0.03 seconds before powering down on a two Large Condenser setup. In order to improve its performance, Celestial Being engineer Sherilyn Hyde worked at improving its GN Condensers. These new improvements eventually led to a five percent increase in performance. This papercraft is the Insignia of the Brotherhood of Nod (often shortened to "Nod" or the "Brotherhood"), a popular, global, religiously developed movement devoted to the guidance of the elusive and charismatic figure of Kane, and the extraterrestrial Tiberium substance that arrived on Earth in 1995, based on the real-time strategy video game franchise Command & Conquer, the papercraft is created by Sinopsys.

Although Nod surfaced in 1995 at the time of the substance"s arrival, before this date, the Brotherhood was an ancient and secret society claiming to have originated prior to 1800 BC. Reported beliefs include that Kane is an immortal prophet whose guidance dates back through their alleged millennia of secrecy, and that Tiberium is the catalyst for the next stage of human evolution. Nod is linked to the three Abrahamic traditions of Christianity, Islam and Judaism, but its followers do not belong to any of these three traditions. While almost all Nod activity is concerned with complex economic, military and scientific foci, its religiously articulated ideology drives this.

Sometime after the arrival of Tiberium, Nod was targeted as a terrorist group by the Global Defense Initiative, for actively using the dangerous tiberium substance to fund a military-industrial complex in impoverished regions, primarily Africa, and pursue total domination over the world"s peoples and resources.
