Mini Rex is a rabbit breed born through crossbreeding of the large Rex and the small Dwarf. They are a relatively new breed, presented at ARBA Convention in 1986 and officially recognized in 1988. Their bodies are covered with thick, short hair like velvet unlike other types of rabbits, and are characterized by the well-proportioned, muscular body shape. Since their senses of hearing and smell are developed, they may learn to draw near when you call. They are friendly and they love to be touched; their lovingness and expressiveness are part of their charms.
