Henchmen 800 are a type of Robo-Pirate that comprises the majority of the army commanded by Admiral Razorbeard. They appear primarily in Rayman 2 and in its remakes, but can also be found in the mobile and Game Boy Advance adaptations of Rayman 3.
The basic Henchman are the standard model, that comes in different colours with different weapons. They sometimes appear in the level by parachuting or drilling up through the ground. More than often they are found sleeping on the job. Notably, the drilling pirates can instantly kill Rayman if he steps on the place from which they drill upwards from underground. The parachuting pirates appear mostly in Rayman Revolution, in which they ambush Rayman several times; only one appears in the original version, in the Tomb of the Ancients.
Despite them being robots, one of Razorbeard’s bodyguards puts his foot out to trip Razorbeard’s lackey, indicating that they may have some kind of personality, or at least a sense of humour. [Source: raymanpc]
