New Paper Craft: Battlestar Galactica - Gemini Freighter Cargo Transport Spaceship Free Papercraft Download

This papercraft is a Gemini Freighter, a larger, more accessible cargo transport than the Colonial Mover, from the sci-fi various Battlestar Galactica movies and television series, the paper model is created by Steve "sjsquirrel" Bondy.

The Gemini Freighter also carry considerably more tonnage than the more numerous Colonial Movers.  The layout of the containers also lends itself to the easy creation of shanty towns although this is done to the detriment of structural stability.

The containers are not meant to be lived in and it has taken a lot of work to make it relatively safe to do so.  Passageways between normally separated containers need to be safe against the vacuum of space; air, heat, and other life support functions need to be extended to these areas; and basic necessities such as water, sanitation, and cooking facilities are required to sustain a population greater than the skeleton crew originally on board.  The result is that these requirements have been constructed but as a result the interiors of these vessels are a mess of cables, pipes, and ugly weldings... but it beats living on top of each other on a Passenger Liner.
