New Paper Craft: Halo: Reach - M9 High-Explosive Dual-Purpose Grenade Free Paper Model Download

This papercraft is a M9 High-Explosive Dual-Purpose Grenade (aka Fragmentation grenade, shortened Frag grenade, or simply Frag,), a UNSC-issued grenade that functions in a manner very similar to contemporary hand grenades in the science fiction video game Halo series, the paper model was created by PepMaster.

HE-DP stands for High-Explosive Dual-Purpose. This designation means that it is designed to be effective against infantry and lightly armored vehicles. AP FRAG can be viewed on the Halo: Combat Evolved M9's olive casing. AP designates "anti-personnel", indicating the weapon's intended use.

The grenade has a hard metal casing, with a frangible design meant to break apart into small, regular shards. This surface creates consistent, reliable fragmentation patterns for the grenade, rather than randomly rupturing along metallurgical faults. The grid-shaped casing houses a charge of high-explosive fitted with a mechanical primer. When the charge detonates, it shatters the grenade's casing, sending shrapnel flying away at high velocity.

In all Halo games, the grenade must first hit the ground before exploding. In Halo: Combat Evolved, the grenade would not detonate mid-air. In Halo 2 and Halo 3, it would bounce and explode mid-air a moment after bouncing. But in Halo 3, if the grenade was thrown up, and hit a surface going up, it would not explode until it hit the ground. This presumed to be a safety feature, ensuring the grenade would only explode after striking a surface after being thrown, and not in the user's hand. This may explain the lack of a "spoon", or handle, on the Halo 2 and 3 M9 HE-DP grenades. The spoon is a device that is gripped while the grenade is being primed. It ensures the grenade will not explode until after the spoon is released, as it starts the fuse of a grenade as it flies through the air after it is thrown. In Halo: Combat Evolved, the spoon would have negated the need for this Halo 2 safety feature.

The grenade is primed with a small button located on the "handle", quite unlike modern fragmentation grenades which use a pin that must be pulled before priming.

In Halo: Combat Evolved, the fragmentation grenade left a white smoke trail behind it when thrown and would create sparks when it landed after being hurled, indicating that the grenades fuse could be a gas-release system. The grenade would be primed with pressing a button, release gas when in mid-air and then detonate when landing in a static position. This would make the grenade's detonation system depend on placement rather than timed detonation.

In Halo: Combat Evolved and Halo 2, four of these grenades may be carried at a time. This was reduced to two in Halo 3 due to the presence of four grenade types, but increased to three in Halo 3: ODST and in Halo: Reach the player is again able to carry four grenades, but only if the settings are changed to carry this amount. New Paper Craft: Mario Bros. - Freezie Free Papercraft Download

This Mario papercraft is a Freezie (Slipice), an enemy made entirely of ice that first appeared in the arcade game Mario Bros., the paper model was created by aardonix. Freezies vary greatly in size and shape, but are instantly recognizable thanks to their permanently puzzled expression. Occasionally, Freezies are used as items to freeze enemies. Despite being one of Mario's first enemies, they have only recently started appearing in games again.

In the original Mario Bros., Freezies emerge from pipes and travel along the stages' platforms. They first appear in Stage Nine. When a Freezie reaches the center of a platform, it will coat the entire platform with ice, destroying itself in the process. A frozen platform is very slippery. Thus, it is in Mario and Luigi's best interest to eliminate these enemies quickly, before they can freeze a platform. It can freeze the central floating platform and the two lower platforms above the bottom pipes. If all three platforms are frozen, no more Freezies will appear for that phase. Hitting a Freezie from below destroys it and awards the player five hundred points. Freezies don't count as regular enemies, meaning Mario and Luigi don't have to clear them from the stage to complete the level. If Mario or Luigi touch a Freezie, they will lose a life, but the Freezie will only reverse direction if encountering another enemy.

Freezie is the only recurring enemy from Mario Bros. that has kept its Nintendo Entertainment System name rather than its original Arcade name. [Source: Mariowiki]

New Paper Craft: Star Wars - Katarn-Class Commando Armor Free Papercraft Download

This Star Wars papercraft is the Katarn-Class Commando Armor that was used by clone commandos during the Clone Wars, the paper model created by PepMaster. There are not Backpack and Chest in the pack, but you can get them here: Katarn-Class Commando Armor Backpack Papercraft and Katarn-Class Commando Armor Chest Papercraft.

The Katarn-Class Commando Armor was named after the predatory animal from Kashyyyk. It weighed 20 kilograms and could cost up to 100,000 credits on the black market.

This armor was more expensive and provided better protection than standard clone armor, due to the special composition and novel chemical properties of its armor plates, along with the inclusion of deflector shields. It was also designed for easy bacta injection via handheld dispensers. Katarn Armor was often highly customized by the clone commandos who wore it.

  Helmet - The helmet of the Katarn-class armor had a HUD or heads up display that consistently displayed tactical data such as the location and distance to your target, the health of the wearer and the strength of the suit's shielding. The Helmet could system link to others through the use of an internal communications antennae allowing each member of a squad to keep track of their comrade's health and location. Specialized internal sensors could detect the make, model, and relative accuracy of every weapon that a commando used, and could adjust the format of the targeting reticule for differing weapons. The Helmet had a built-in filtration system which could extract oxygen from toxic environments. The visor was designed to incorporate electrobinocular and night-vision modes.

  Body - The body of the armor boasted reinforced Duraplast plating for defense against blaster fire and other anti-infantry weapons. Its design included resistance to extreme heat and cold. The suit could be fully sealed allowing a commando to survive in vacuum for up to 20 minutes. The knuckle plate of the armor featured a retractable vibroblade used for close quarter combat and covert encounters.

  Backpack - The Backpack featured specialized ammunition cartridges that held various types of ammo, and was reconfigurable for many different missions. An extra oxygen tank for aquatic and space-borne environments, a large bacta dispenser for augmented healing, or even an external communications array for long distance communications. It is interesting to note that the backpack had a display on it that showed the last two digits of the respective commando's ID number. [Source: wikia]

Gundala the movie was a hoax perpetrated by Iskandar Salim, a photographer and graphic designer who created promotional material for a movie that was not actually being made about Gundala, a lightning powered superhero.

Salim noticed that there had never been a movie featuring an Indonesian superhero and wished to start a public debate on the subject. He created an official website, a Facebook page, posters, and staged photographs that allegedly showed the movie being made. As a result of the attention generated by the hoax Gundala's creator Harya Suraminata is actually involved in negotiations to produce a real film based on the character.
