This building paper model is the Golden Gates of Kiev, the main gate in the 11th-century fortifications of Kiev, the capital of Kievan Rus", the papercraft is created by YuMA, and the scale is in 1:125.
The Golden Gates of Kiev was named in imitation of the Golden Gate of Constantinople. The structure was dismantled in the Middle Ages, leaving few vestiges of its existence. It was completely rebuilt by the Soviet authorities in 1982, though no images of the original gates have survived. This decision has been immensely controversial, since there are many competing reconstructions of what the medieval gate might have looked like.
The rebuilt structure on the corner of Volodymyr street and Yaroslaviv Val Street (Yaroslav"s Moat) contains a branch of the National Sanctuary "Sophia of Kyiv"museum. The name Zoloti Vorota is also used for a nearby theatre and a station of the Kiev Metro. [Source: wikipedia]

The Lightship Ambrose (LV87), built 1908, served her station until 1932 when she was reassigned to serve as the Lightship Scotland, a station much closer to Sandy Hook, New Jersey. She would be the first lightship to serve in the relocated position nearer the center of the channel, and in 1921 would receive the first radio beacon in either the channel or the US, greatly assisting navigation of the congested channel in dense fog. She would also be the last steam-powered vessel to hold this post. She moved around to various stations, but has kept the name of her most famous station, Ambrose.
In 1964, she was retired from the Coast Guard, and in 1968, she was given to the South Street Seaport Museum in Lower Manhattan, and moored at Pier 16 on the East River. In 1989, the lightship was declared a National Historic Landmark. [Source: wikipedia]
