He is a Smurf who usually likes to sleep, which at times causes problems with his fellow Smurfs, though sometimes his habits can prove to be a valuable asset, as in the case in "The Smurfstone Quest" where his echoed snoring protected his fellow Smurfs from being eaten by some underground creatures.
In another episode he finally realizes his laziness is seen as a negative quality when they are stranded on a volcanic island. When Handy builds a pedal-powered helicopter to escape the island, all the Smurfs involved are made to pedal save for Lazy, who is given a passenger seat. Lazy naturally considers this an insult, but realizes that is the kind of reputation he has earned. However Lazy is granted a chance to redeem himself when the aftershock of the volcanic eruption renders Handy unconscious save for Lazy, who rushes to Handy"s seat and starts pedaling, getting the helicopter away from the volcano only to crash-land in the middle of the ocean. Lazy is not boastful and says nothing about piloting the helicopter, so the other Smurfs do not know how they escaped, certainly not by a lazy slob like him. But Smurfette notices Lazy"s hat is stained with oil, which proves that he saved them all by being a heroic Smurf who could indeed work hard in the face of danger. [Source: wikia]

Handy, as Jokey once remarked, is a very fanatical and driven person. He is often inventing something and is so enthusiastic about it that he fails to see how the others think of it. This has put him in a lot of trouble a couple of times. In the comics, when Handy invented a handheld powered drill, he began testing it on almost everything in the village, and in the process he ruined the bucket of the central well, ruined the barbells of Hefty, sunk Marco Smurf"s boat when he drilled through the hull, and finally ruined the cake mold that Smurfette was planning to use to make the cake for Papa Smurf"s birthday. After the dough was poured in and went right through the mold, the Smurfs were looking very angrily at Jokey, who defended himself with "It wasn"t me, you guys, honest!" Handy walked in and asked if Smurfette liked the colander he made from that old cake mold and showcasing proudly how he did it using the handheld power drill he made. Realizing that Handy was the one behind all the mayhem had been going on in the village, the others chased after him, and at the party they had attached two wooden beams with shoes attached to the drill bit, turning it into a Handy Smurf butt-kicking machine.
Although he is friendly and open-minded, there are times when he would end up saying harsh things to his friends. For example, in one episode after kept on getting in trouble from his creation, Clockwork Smurfette, he told her, "I wish I never made you!", leaving her running out of his house crying. Quickly he felt bad for saying that. Also in "One Good Smurf Deserves Another", when Clumsy kept helping Handy, only to make things worse, he told Clumsy harshly to stop helping him, hurting Clumsy"s feelings. This caused glares from the other Smurfs at Handy. He relents and ask Clumsy for some help. [Source: wikia]

Enamored Smurf has never been the main character of a comic book main story, but was briefly mentioned during The Smurfic Games, when he dreams about the Smurfette"s kiss that is the prize for the winning team. In some one-page gags from other books, he pulls the petals off daisies, reciting "She loves me, she loves me not..." This can have different humorous consequences depending on the gag.
He also appears in Doctor Smurf, when he - just like the other Smurfs - attends Doctor Smurf"s office only to see Smurfette, who is his nurse. Unlike the other Smurfs who talk with Doctor Smurf about made-up illnesses, Enamored Smurf just sits and thinks about Smurfette.
Another possible main story appearance is in the comic book story "The Reporter Smurf" when he appears alongside Vanity after Reporter prints out a special edition of the village newspaper with the front page article being Smurfette"s new dress, which she originally planned to show at the Full Moon Ball as a surprise. Despite the exposure of her new dress making Smurfette angry enough to destroy her dress by stomping on it, the Smurf next to Vanity in that scene still found himself enraptured by Smurfette. He is the most underestimated out of all the Smurfs. Every time there is a competition of some sorts, Clumsy is not considered to be a good player due to him always dropping or breaking things. Clumsy"s catch phrases are "Whoops!", "Golly", "Gosh", and "Gee."
Clumsy is sensitive, at times, and would even start crying a bit if the other Smurfs don"t want him on their team.
As his name implies he can be described as clumsy, klutzy, hapless, and accident prone. An example is in The Purple Smurfs when he accidentally lassos himself when attempting to lasso a Purple Smurf. Clumsy isn"t usually shown to be as fast as the other Smurfs. In the intro sequence, it takes Clumsy longer to get around the words "THE SMURFS".
Clumsy can be easily identified by his Southern Accent or how he trips and falls. He is still mostly identified by his loose cap and pants - he is a sloppy Smurf. He is also the Smurf who hangs out with Brainy the most. He"s basically everyone"s sweetheart Smurf in the village [Source: wikia]

Gargamel is the main antagonist who, along with his cat Azrael, and later with a young apprentice named Scruple, continued to plot against the Smurfs in order to capture and/or destroy them. He was responsible for the creation of Smurfette, who was changed into a real Smurf by Papa Smurf.
Gargamel hates having his Birthday on Halloween because every year nobody wishes him a Happy Birthday or gives him a present. Deep down Gargamel is lonely. He originally was a Naughty created by Gargamel to serve him and his evil purposes, which include capturing Smurfette so that she would give the evil wizard the secret formula that would change the Naughties into Smurfs. However, when he and Vexy did become Smurfs, they would soon be used as part of Gargamel’s Smurfalator for extracting Smurf essence. As his name suggests, he is a traveler who loves going to new places. He is the main character from “The Traveling Smurf”, who was replaced by Dreamy in the cartoon show adaptation “Dreamy’s Nightmare”. A similar character called Inquisitive Smurf appears in the videogame The Smurfs Travel The World as one of two Smurfs, the other being Smurfette, who wind up traveling the world by touching magic crystals in Papa Smurf‘s laboratory. Scaredy is often teased by the Smurfs because of this. In one episode, Scaredy was to present the play to “The Three Smurfketeers” but was almost paralyzed with fear and got a little tongue-tied, causing the Smurfs in the audience to laugh at him. In another, Scaredy worked with Pushover Smurf. When Papa asked Scaredy to get the foxfire, Scaredy was too afraid and so he asked Pushover.
While Pushover was there, Papa told Scaredy that if the foxfire is extinguished, then the Marsh Monster would be awakened. Scaredy decided to go look for Pushover and discovered him about to be attacked by the Marsh Monster. Scaredy and Pushover fled, but when Scaredy asked Pushover to relight the foxfire, Pushover said no and told Scaredy to go do it. Scaredy did, and Pushover learned not to be afraid to say no sometimes. He appeared in most of the seasons until Season 7. Nat loves nature to the fullest. He is the only Smurfling willing to walk long miles through a forest, just so that he could view the scenery. It’s possible he might be a reference to the animal-loving kids who like exploring forests and other enviromental places.
Nat is also the nicest of the Smurflings, as he cared about Sassette‘s feelings when Snappy yelled at her during her debut episode. He has shown concern for many things and doesn’t like his animal friends to get hurt.
He is a lover of all creatures who’s not afraid to put himself at risk to save animals that other Smurfs may consider too dangerous, including Gargamel’s pet cat Azrael. He is one of the Smurfs responsible for the creation of Sassette. Sassette is a tomboy: playful, energetic, and is willing to get dirty just to have some fun. During her debut episode, Sassette liked playing usual boy games, like marbles, climbing trees, digging for earthworms, arm wrestling and even mud playing. She did gain some feminine interests over time.
She was the second female Smurf who was created by the same magic formula Gargamel had used to create Smurfette with, though the Smurflings who created her used a smaller amount of blue clay than what Gargamel used for Smurfette, resulting in a female Smurfling.
Her attitude is that of a tomboy Smurfling who likes to do things that her fellow male Smurflings do. Smurfette considers her a sister Smurf, though, despite having a hard time understanding Sassette’s interests at first. She does have a girly side though — she likes dressing up and playing with her doll Smurfy Lou.
Sassette is always coming up with new plans that she uses to make the lives of her fellow adult Smurfs easier, such as hosting the Mr. Smurf Contest, so that Smurfette could choose which Smurf to be her date to the Harvest Moon Ball. [Source: wikia]
