New Paper Craft: Beriev Be-12 Amphibious Aircraft Paper Model Free Template Download

Beriev Be-12 Amphibious Aircraft Paper Model Free Template DownloadThis aircraft paper model is a Beriev Be-12 ("Seagull", NATO reporting name: Mail), a Soviet turboprop-powered amphibious aircraft designed for anti-submarine and maritime patrol duties, the papercraft is created by Bruno VanHecke. There are 1:300, 1:144, and 1:100 three scale versions.

The Beriev Be-12 was a successor to the Beriev Be-6 flying boat, whose primary roles were as an anti-submarine and maritime patrol bomber aircraft. Though tracing its origins to the Be-6, the Be-12 inherited little more than the gull wing and twin oval tailfin configuration of the older aircraft. The Be-12 had turboprop engines, which gave it an improved speed and range over the Be-6. The Be-12 also had retractable landing gear, which enabled it to land on normal land runways, as well as water. For further information please click here.

New Paper Craft: Beriev A-50 and Ilyushin Il-76 Candid Free Aircraft Paper Models Download

Beriev A-50 and Ilyushin Il-76 Free Aircraft Paper Models DownloadThese two aircraft paper models are Beriev A-50 and Ilyushin Il-76, created by Bruno VanHecke. There are 1:300 and 1:150 two versions (only 1:300 for Il-76).

The Beriev A-50 (NATO reporting name "Mainstay") is a Soviet-built Airborne early warning and control (AEW) aircraft based on the Ilyushin Il-76 transport. Developed to replace the Tupolev Tu-126 "Moss".

The Ilyushin II-76 Candid is a landmark Soviet-era design. Russia"s first four-jet heavy transport, it was conceived and used to fly strategic military cargos into front-line air bases in the most extreme operational conditions.

The II-76 prototype made its first flight in 1971. It was intended as a replacement for the An-12. Production commenced in 1974. The basic II-76 (NATO reporting name Candid-A) transport was built purely for military service. It saw extensive service during the Soviet war in Afghanistan. Over 800 of these cargo aircraft were built, as well as a number of specialized versions.

This aircraft was designed to deliver heavy vehicles and machinery to remote, poorly-serviced airfields. It can operate from short and unpaved runways. The Il-76 can cope with the worst weather conditions experienced in Siberia and Arctic regions.

The tough, dependable airframe spawned many variants - some designed to do the basic transport job even better, and others which serve as indispensable combat support roles. A bewildering array of other specialised variants have been developed for roles including mobile hospital, cosmonaut training and airborne command post, airborne laser platform and firefighter.
