This paper model is a Proton (formal designation: UR-500), an expendable launch system used for both commercial and Russian government space launches, the papercraft is created by L.Cherkashyn, and the scale is in 1:96.

The first Proton rocket was launched in 1965. Modern versions of the launch system are still in use as of 2015, making it one of the most successful heavy boosters in the history of spaceflight. All Protons are built at the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center plant in Moscow, transported to the Baikonur Cosmodrome, brought to the launch pad horizontally, and raised into vertical position for launch.

As with many Soviet rockets, the names of recurring payloads became associated with the Proton. The moniker "Proton" originates from a series of similarly named scientific satellites, which were among the rocket"s first payloads. During the Cold War, it was designated the D-1/D-1e or SL-12/SL-13 by Western intelligence agencies.

Launch capacity to low Earth orbit is about 22.8 tonnes (50,000 lb). Geostationary transfer capacity is about 6,150 kilograms (13,560 lb). New Paper Craft: Proton-K Carrier Rocket Paper Model Free Template Download

This rocket paper model is a Proton-K (also designated Proton 8K82K after its GRAU index, 8K82K), a Russian, previously Soviet, carrier rocket derived from the earlier Proton, the paper model is created by L.Cherkashyn, and the scale is in 1:96.

The Proton-K was built by Khrunichev, and launched from sites 81 and 200 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.

The maiden flight on 10 March 1967 carried a Soyuz 7K-L1 as part of the Zond program. During the so-called "Moon Race" these Proton/Soyuz/Zond flights consisted of several uncrewed test flights of Soyuz spacecraft to highly elliptical or circumlunar orbits with the unrealized aim of landing Soviet cosmonauts on the Moon.

It was retired from service in favour of the modernised Proton-M, making its 311th and final launch on 30 March 2012. [Source: wikipedia]

This rocket paper model is a Proton-M, a Russian heavy lift launch vehicle derived from the Soviet-developed Proton, the paper model is created by L.Cherkashyn, and the scale is in 1:96.

The Proton-M is built by Khrunichev, and launched from sites 81 and 200 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
