New Paper Craft: Carrier Rocket Rokot Free Paper Model Download

Carrier Rocket Rokot Free Paper Model DownloadThis paper model is a Rokot (Rockot), a Russian space launch vehicle that can launch a payload of 1,950 kilograms into a 200 kilometre high Earth orbit with 63° inclination, the papercraft is created by L.Cherkashyn, and the scale is in 1:96.

Rokot"s total mass is 107 tonnes, its length 29 metres and its maximum diameter 2.5 metres. The liquid-fueled rocket comprises three stages. The lower two are based on the Soviet UR-100N ICBM; the first stage uses an RD-0244 engine, while the second stage uses an RD-0235. The third stage is a Briz-KM, which has a mass of about 6 tonnes when fuelled, and is capable of flying for 7 hours and reigniting its engine six times during flight, allowing different satellites to be placed into different orbits. All stages use UDMH (unsymmetrical Dimethylhydrazine) as fuel and dinitrogen tetroxide as oxidiser. The Strela is a similar rocket, also based on the SS-19. New Paper Craft: Proton Rocket Paper Model Free Template Download

Proton Rocket Paper Model Free Template DownloadThis paper model is a Proton (formal designation: UR-500), an expendable launch system used for both commercial and Russian government space launches, the papercraft is created by L.Cherkashyn, and the scale is in 1:96.

The first Proton rocket was launched in 1965. Modern versions of the launch system are still in use as of 2015, making it one of the most successful heavy boosters in the history of spaceflight. All Protons are built at the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center plant in Moscow, transported to the Baikonur Cosmodrome, brought to the launch pad horizontally, and raised into vertical position for launch.

As with many Soviet rockets, the names of recurring payloads became associated with the Proton. The moniker "Proton" originates from a series of similarly named scientific satellites, which were among the rocket"s first payloads. During the Cold War, it was designated the D-1/D-1e or SL-12/SL-13 by Western intelligence agencies.

Launch capacity to low Earth orbit is about 22.8 tonnes (50,000 lb). Geostationary transfer capacity is about 6,150 kilograms (13,560 lb). Commercial launches are marketed by International Launch Services (ILS). The rocket is intended to be retired before 2030. For further information please click here.

New Paper Craft: Soyuz-FG Launch Vehicle Free Rocket Paper Model Download

Soyuz-FG Launch Vehicle Free Rocket Paper Model DownloadThis is a Soyuz-FG, a launch vehicle is an improved version of the Soyuz-U, from the R-7 family of rockets, the papercraft is created by L.Cherkashyn, and the scale is in 1:48.

The Soyuz-FG made its maiden flight on May 20, 2001, carrying a Progress M1-6 cargo spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS).

Since October 30, 2002 the Soyuz-FG has been the only vehicle used by the Russian Federal Space Agency to launch Soyuz-TMA manned spacecraft to the ISS. As of April 2015, Soyuz-FG has made 50 flights, bringing to the ISS three Progress-M1, 22 Soyuz-TMA spacecraft, and 16 Soyuz-TMA-M spacecraft, with its most recent launch on March 27, 2015. All launches have been successful thus far.

Another version of the Soyuz-FG is the Soyuz-FG/Fregat with Fregat as its 3rd stage, developed and produced by Lavochkin Association in Khimki. A European-Russian company Starsem owns all rights to launches using this version. As of December 2014 there have been 10 launches of Soyuz-FG/Fregat with commercial payloads. Its maiden flight occurred on June 2, 2003.

The analog control system of this spacecraft significantly limits its capabilities, and it will eventually be replaced by the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle.

The Soyuz-FG is launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, using launch site LC-1 for Soyuz-FG and LC-31 for Soyuz-FG/Fregat. For further information please click here.
